Thank you's
I was changing the diapers into the dryer today and Kira came up to me and gave me a big hug saying, "Thank you for do the laundry Mommy." I love that she is learning to appreciate the small things that keep our house running smoothly.
She is learning through the example of her Daddy who always notices all the little things that I have accomplished throughout the day. I love that Josh takes the time to thank me for doing the dishes, folding the laundry, etc. Such a simple thing that most men would overlook, yet when I go out of town its one of the things I miss the most. Getting that recognition makes the everyday chores of being a SAHM less miserable.
The simpleness of the words 'thank you' are phenomenal in their meaning. Nothing else can take a hard day dealing with a screaming baby and a pouty three year old as worth it as those two little words, thank you.
I need to be better at noticing all the little things. To say thank you to even the most insignificant act, because you never know who is going to mimic you, or whose day you might make a little bit brighter.
